Twilight

****
Stephanie Meyer

Bella Swan is new in the town of Forks. In such a small community, she's like the new toy. She even catches the eye of the very strange, very mysterious (very hot) Edward Cullen. And Bella is smitten as well. But there's something about Edward that just doesn't seem...human. Once Bella puts the clues together, she has to decide if her love is worth the risk to her life.

I don't even know if I should have bothered with this one. Who hasn't read Twilight? But if you haven't, you should know...

This is a good book if you're looking for something pretty mindless, a little silly and very entertaining. Without a doubt, it's a page-turner. Take it with a grain of salt (and steel yourself against obsession!) but enjoy. You won't regret it.

This is also probably the best book in this series.

The last book in the Twilight series. Bella and Edward finally consumate their relationship in every way. However, their honeymoon is cut short when Bella ends up pregnant. They rush back to Carlisle as the baby inside Bella threatens to kill her.

Meanwhile, time is up with the Vulturi. Intent on eliminating the Cullen Clan, the Italian Vampires make ready for war, while the Cullens try to persuade others to stand with them in what promises to be the biggest vampire war to ever take place.

I'd describe this book as unrealistic (even for a vampire book), fan-fiction-esque, anticlimactic and severly disappointing. Perhaps the series should have been a trilogy.
